Home Care

We want all of our patients to get the most out of each massage treatment. Therefore, we provide them with appropriate home care instructions, such as stretching and strengthening exercises, staying hydrated, and the use of heat or ice therapy. Having a warm bath with Epson or mineral salts will help alleviate some of the tenderness.



Drink Water


Studies have shown that a small percentage of muscle & joint pain is often linked to your hydration. Drink plenty of water, it will help flush the released waste out of your body and keep you (and your muscles) hydrated.


Here is an easy way to figure out how much water you should drink every day: You should drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces a day (A 200 pound person should drink 100 ounces a day).





Depending on the type of treatment provided we may advise our patients to ice tender areas post your massage treatment, usually for 10 minutes at a time, and a couple times through the course of the evening. This will often help decrease tenderness, swelling & inflammation from the massage. Icing post your massage may also decrease how sore you feel tomorrow!
